CONTROL AT THE POINT OF SUPPLY
Prescribing tells the team what is intended. Dispensing records what was supplied. The stock history lets your team follow the difference.
Automatic allocation uses available, unexpired batches in earliest-expiry order. A selected batch is checked again when supply is confirmed. Expired stock remains visible for tracking and cannot be dispensed through this workflow.
Confirm a smaller supply when appropriate, then retain the outstanding prescription quantity. A return records the quantity, reason and restock decision separately from the original supply.
Set a minimum stock level for each item and see when available stock falls below it. Review low stock, approaching expiry and batch history. Receipts, dispensing, returns and adjustments each leave a stock movement record.

No. Stock moves when the team confirms dispensing. A saved prescription and a confirmed supply remain distinct, so the stock record reflects what was handed over.

Yes. The team can confirm a partial quantity and record returns against an earlier supply. A return includes a reason and an explicit decision about whether to restock. A stock return does not itself complete a payment refund.
Confirmed supply can add medicine lines to the visit's open bill using the selling prices of the supplied batches. The team reviews the bill before taking payment. A visit without an open bill needs the billing work to be handled separately.
Opening stock can be assessed and mapped from a source workbook. The setup needs verified medicine units, quantities, prices and expiry information. Imported stock awaiting expiry confirmation stays out of dispensing until checked and released.
