CLINIC QUEUE MANAGEMENT · MALAYSIA

A clearer queue. A calmer front desk.

Keep the patients arriving, waiting and being seen in one clinic workflow. Watson's Front desk terminal connects reception to the consultation, whether the visit was booked or walked in.

The Front desk terminal brings arrivals, room queues, messages and checkout into view. Explore with example data.

FOLLOW AN ARRIVAL

A clear path from check-in to checkout.

Explore a booked visit or a walk-in. The front desk keeps the patient moving, with the next team ready for the handover.

Start with the right patient.

Match the arriving patient to their contact. A booked arrival keeps its booking context; a walk-in starts a visit without needing an appointment.

This example keeps an existing appointment attached to the visit.

TWO WAYS IN. ONE CLINIC DAY.

Start the visit where the patient arrives.

A booking and a walk-in have different starting points. Both need a clear place in the clinic's day.

01

For booked patients

Find the appointment, confirm the person has arrived and check them in. Keep the booking attached as they move into the clinic queue.

  • Appointment context stays with the visit
  • Arrival becomes visible to the team
  • The consultation links to the booked visit
02

For walk-in patients

Find an existing contact or register the patient, then create the walk-in entry. They can join the clinic workflow without a booking made in advance.

  • A contact identifies the patient
  • Queue placement follows the clinic's process
  • Clinical records can attach to a walk-in visit

THE TEAM RUNS THE QUEUE

Make the next step visible.

Reception should know who is waiting. The room team should know who is next. Patients should know when it is their turn.

A queue that your team controls

Call, serve and complete a visit. Handle a patient who leaves or does not respond, and adjust the order when the clinic needs to. Staff remain responsible for clinical priority.

Doctor and room context

Associate queues and visits with the appropriate practitioner, service and room label. Reception and the room team can work from the same queue information.

A clear waiting-room display

Use the configured public display to communicate ticket and room information. Keep the patient-facing queue view separate from clinical notes and the staff's full workspace.

FRONT DESK → DOCTOR → PHARMACY

The visit keeps moving. The context stays with it.

Check-in starts the visit. Clinical records capture the consultation. Confirmed dispensing records what was supplied. Billing closes the payment work. Each team owns its step.

BEFORE YOUR DEMO

Your questions, answered.

Can appointments and walk-ins use the same clinic workflow?

Yes. Booked arrivals can retain their appointment link, and walk-ins can be registered against a patient contact. Both can enter the queue and continue into consultation records and subsequent clinic work.

Can we call a patient again or change the queue order?

The queue supports calling, serving, completion, recall, skipping and recording patients who leave or do not respond. Your team chooses the appropriate action. Queue order does not replace clinical assessment or triage.

Does Watson predict how long a patient will wait?

Watson can report queue position and people ahead. A clinic can configure an approximate wait and a short note. That is the clinic's stated estimate, not a prediction calculated from clinical history.

Can patients see their turn on a waiting-room screen?

A configured public queue display can show called tickets and room information. We will review your screen setup and display requirements during the demo. The public display is separate from the clinician's records.

Is the Front desk terminal a separate product?

It is the workspace for the reception team's part of the clinic offering. This page explains its queue workflow; the demo confirms the terminal setup, connected screens and hardware requirements for your clinic.

What happens after the doctor completes the visit?

The team can continue the visit through prescribing, confirmed dispensing and billing as needed. Each is a separate action: queue completion does not automatically mean medicines were handed over or a bill was paid.
