Your front desk sees who is expected, who has arrived and who is ready for the dentist. Watson keeps the appointment and patient context together as the visit moves through the practice.

The patient has arrived. The information should arrive with them.
A booking in one calendar, an arrival written on paper and a message to the dentist create several versions of the same visit. Staff spend time confirming details they have already collected. The front desk needs one clear place to organise the day and pass the right context to the next person.
HOW THE WORK CONNECTS
From expected to seen, with the visit connected.
See the day ahead
Review scheduled appointments, services and assigned dentists so reception can prepare for the expected flow of patients.
Record the arrival
Find the patient, confirm the visit and update check-in. Keep the arrival tied to the appointment and patient record.
Hand over to the dentist
Make the patient’s readiness visible alongside the visit context. The dentist continues from their own dedicated workspace.
Close the visit clearly
Carry recorded services and the next administrative steps into billing, any dispensing and the next appointment.
BUILT FOR YOUR PRACTICE
A workspace shaped around reception’s day.
The queue is more than a list of names
Appointment details, arrival state and the next step help staff understand what needs attention. Keep scheduled visits and arrival updates visible without assuming that a patient’s position guarantees an exact time in the chair.
A dedicated front desk terminal
Reception gets a focused workspace for patient lookup, appointments, check-in and handover. The dentist works in the clinical workspace, while staff responsible for billing or medicine supply use the permissions appropriate to that work.
Returning patients bring their context
Connect the arrival to the existing patient record and appointment. Staff can check the practical details needed for the visit, and the dental team can review the clinical history through its authorised access. Each person sees the information relevant to their responsibility.
BEFORE YOUR DEMO
A few things worth knowing.
Is there a dedicated front desk terminal?+
Yes. Watson’s front desk workspace brings patient lookup, appointments, arrivals and the visit handover into a focused view for reception. We demonstrate the workflow alongside the dentist workspace.
Can we see which patients have arrived?+
Reception can record check-in and review the patient’s place in the visit workflow. The appointment, dentist and arrival context remain connected.
Does the queue reserve a dental chair?+
The workflow organises patient arrivals and dentist availability. Independent chair-resource scheduling is not part of the launch scope; review your room and equipment constraints during setup.
Will reception see all clinical notes?+
Clinical information follows the access granted to the staff member. A front desk role does not automatically require access to the full clinical record. We review responsibilities and permissions as part of setup.
Can you show the full journey in a demo?+
Yes. We can walk through a returning patient’s appointment, arrival, dentist handover, bill and next visit using a dental practice example.
