The phone rings while your team is with someone. A WhatsApp arrives after closing. Watson handles the practical conversation and helps the patient reach the next step, with your team available when it needs a person.

Appointment confirmed
Illustrative conversation and appointment. Watson checks the practice’s configured availability.
The next patient doesn’t know your counter is busy.
They need to know when you are open, whether a dentist offers a service or how to arrange a visit. If the answer waits in a missed call or unread message, the conversation can go quiet. Your staff should not have to choose between the person at the counter and a routine enquiry on the phone.
HOW THE WORK CONNECTS
One conversation. A useful next step.
Answer the enquiry
Handle calls and WhatsApp using the practice information you approve: services, opening hours, location and practical booking details.
Keep the context
Retain the conversation and relevant patient context so a returning question does not become another search through separate messages.
Arrange the visit
Check suitable appointments for supported booking requests. Carry the agreed service, dentist and time into the booking workflow.
Bring in your team
Give staff a clear handover when an answer needs judgement, the request falls outside the approved information or the patient needs a person.
BUILT FOR YOUR PRACTICE
Practical answers, in the channels patients use.
Your practice information is the starting point
Keep service information, advertised prices, accepted panels, branch details and opening hours current. Watson uses that context for administrative answers. A price that depends on examination remains a matter for the practice; a listed panel is not proof of an individual patient’s benefits.
The patient can use their own language
Support everyday conversations in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese and Tamil across the enabled channels. Let patients describe the appointment they are looking for without first navigating a phone menu or switching to a separate booking app.
Staff take over with the conversation in view
A handover should carry the enquiry, the patient’s replies and any relevant booking context. Staff can review what has happened and respond from the connected workflow. The goal is continuity, especially when a routine booking question becomes a request that needs the dental team.
BEFORE YOUR DEMO
A few things worth knowing.
Can Watson answer outside our opening hours?+
Yes. Administrative calls and messages can be handled around the clock through the channels you enable. Appointments still follow the practice’s actual availability and operating rules.
Will patients need a new app?+
Patients can use familiar channels such as WhatsApp and phone calls. The configured conversation can continue into an appointment, deposit or staff handover without requiring a patient app for those steps.
Can it answer questions about braces or implants?+
It can share the practice-approved service information and arrange the appropriate consultation. Suitability, clinical findings, final treatment decisions and examination-dependent prices remain with your dental team.
How does this differ from appointment reminders?+
Patient communication handles enquiries and conversation. Reminders relate to an existing booking; recalls and follow-up relate to another visit or an unfinished conversation. The separate workflows share relevant context.
Can our staff step in?+
Yes. Staff takeover is part of the workflow. Your team can review the conversation and respond when a patient needs a person, without asking the patient to repeat the whole enquiry.
